Bopara by a long way he is a better batsman and a better bowler, I was very impressed by him as an allround cricketer.

I voted for Bopara. I think Dalrymple simply isn't good enough at this level. If we need some extra spin overs KP is more than capable. I believe he is a better off spinner than Dalrymple anyway.

I agree Pietersen is a decent spin bowler I think the best competition on the ashes was Warne bowling to Pietersen and Pietersen bowling to Warne because both had there days against each other with both bat and ball. Ive never understood why Pietersen has not been used more

It wouldnt surprise me if the management were scared he might injure himself bowling.

I cant see why he shouldnt be encouraged to bowl. He could always be brought on to try to break partnerships etc. in test cricket and in the one day stuff he could be used to get through a few cheap overs.

England have always tried to 'protect' important batsmen who could bowl as well. I see no reason for this. IMO, Vaughan is a decent offspinner - he can turn the ball quite a bit - but has been never used properly; now that he is the captain, he is following the trend himself.

I wonder how much Jaques Kallis would have been allowed to bowl had he been an England player.

Kallis would either never have bowled or been bowled so much that he would now be finished as a player.

I would put both in, simple! They can both fill 5 overs at least each, strength in depth and higher chance of reachining finals

Who would you drop to make way for them?

Plunkett or Anderson and leave yourself with just two front-line seamers
Panesar and have Dalyrmple as your only spinner?
Bell, Collingwood or Joyce and weaken your batting?
Nixon and get Joyce to keep?
Flintoff and incur the wrath of Ern?
