That's actually the best laugh I've had in a while, Salisbury playing test cricket again!!! Thanks DSOTM.

I know it would be too early but if Rashid has a good, full season of county cricket he could well find himself in the squad to tour Sri Lanka as a backup to Monty, though it would seem from the development squad that Dalrymple would be in there even though he would really seem to be an ODI specialist and an out-of-form one at that! We certainly don't need to go back to Salisbury and won't anyway.

No... Channel 5.. same as last summer

As for Salisbury, please!!! We have a good spinner in Panesar and an up and coming leg spinner in Rashid, why do we need to go back to Sali. He has been doing a good job in the Championship for Surrey, but he really isn't Test class.

If he were a finger spinner, he would have been in the same bracket as Brown and Keedy, but because he was a wrist spinner (like Schofield) people got excited. The fact is that he is not good enough at the top level, so he should not be picked.

Or:

Loye
Smith
McGrath
Adams*
Law
Pothas+
Chapple
Keedy
Kirtley
Sidebottom
Ormond

It really is a shame Bicknell retired, on a green top he could have replaced Keedy!!! Ormond would also now add an extra dimension since he apparently also bowls off-breaks...*snigger*.

I was going on 'its who you know'. So if he doesn't pick Salisbury it will be Yardy.

Seriously though expect it to be Panesar, Giles and Rashid.

Giles is apparently out for most (if not all) of the season...

Well he has out for over a year and still played in the Ashes. I would not pick anyone who wasn't 100% fit and they would have to show county form as well but we seem to play people who aren't fit or have just become fit but are not in form.
