Very nice, am as ever looking forward eagerly to the start of the season.

Perhaps looking good for Durham starting out with Harmison and Onions as our new ball pair and with a whole battery of quality quicks to back them up.
Of course once the Tests start we will have to trade in Harmison for Plunkett.

It is a rare occurance and when it does happen it usually stops play .

Durhams early season new ball attack looks useful, especially if Davies returns to old form.

We missed Davies badly last year, Mick Lewis was woeful in comparison and Gibson couldn't keep going at his age! I'd be very happy with this attack:

Harmison
Plunkett/Thorp (Thorp to drop to second change when Plunkett isn't playing)
Onions
Davies
Breese
(Benkenstein)

With Gibson to fill in when absolutely necessary. With Di Venuto a very useful addition to the top order in place of the horribly disappointing Jimmy Maher, we look to have the ingredients for an upper mid-table finish this year.

Yep Davies is another that is a top pick for the Telegraph fantasy team at 1 one point! the guy when fit was taking about 50 wickets a season at sub 20 average, and he is only 26. He missed last season with a serious back problem but is back and bowling now. Recovering from a bout of illness for todays match, as opposed to injury.
First time ever I have looked at a Durham batting line up come the start of the season and thought it looked good as well. Gary Park last year when he finally broke into the team was very impressive, just hope the England selectors don't realise that this guy who bats as a genuine No3, is actually a wicket keeper who just can't get the gloves off Mustard. Durham have two keepers who deserve a place in the team as batsmen alone even without the gloves, big change from Andrew Pratt.
