When was gerranit jones ever actually good it is a period in english wicket keeping that is a joke, people would excusse a dropped gerraint jones dropped catch, if the guy scored 30 - 40 runs. He only ever made one hundred and that was versus new zeland. Honestly when did gerraint jones ever have a good mall round test match with gloves and bat, personally I think it would be a traversty if he was ever to play for england again, when england the ashes in 2005 it was in spite of gerraint jones, this is why I think it was so good preformance because we carrried 2 players through out the series (ian bell begin the other) , if we had not won in 2005 he wouldn't even be considered now, his glove work and batting in the test matches are average, his county championship abilty is only slightly better, if i am honest he should go back and play for papa new guinine

When the England selectors first picked him in 03/04. When they hadn't quite lost the plot.

Honestly, if Kent felt they could ditch Nixon and bring in Jones from the seconds, he must have been good.

Have you ever seen Jones in the CC? When you consider how toothless Kent's bowling attack is, if Jones couldn't impress selectors with the seam attack we've got then he would never have been considered.
