Kent-a-shire, la-la-la...

I am surprised. I guess it helps when just about every chance is going to hand! Sussex 102 and 133/7, needing another 140 ish to avoid an innings defeat. How the tables have turned!

Mushy loses form and Sussex have had it, that's what has happened these past two games. I've always felt Sussex were too one-dimensional for a top side, and although they have Rana and Kirtley as very good seamers (at times!) they depend on Mushtaq too much. Their batting leaves something to be desired as well.

There has to be an immediate and serious review of the pitch and boundaries at Taunton, those scores are incredibly skewed relative to other grounds and something has to be done to redress the balance. The bowlers don't stand a chance!!!

It is a joke at Taunton but there you go,we know nothing will happen.

The best games in this round of matches looks like being Hampshire v Yorkshire as Hampshire are 257-8 in reply to 299.Now that is a proper game as you can score runs if you get in but the bowlers have a chance. The same goes for Old trafford where Lancs are 276-8 in reply to a Surrey score of 284.

Another joke is at New Road where Warwickshire got 610-6,Ambrose 250* (a week too soon for my fantasy team ) and Worcestershire are 68-1.

I guess we are in for a summer of high scores if this weather continues.

We're forecast for rain and cooler weather in the next couple of weeks Greg, so expect the seamers to come back and have some fun, except at Taunton and New Road of course!

Monty is batting at the moment, always makes me chuckle.

Sussucks beaten by an innings inside 2 days.

The curse of the county champions? Yorkshire won it and went down, Notts won it and went down, is it Sussucks turn?

Surrey 20-4, still trailing by 11.

Brown could have unlucky, LBW seemed a bit high.

Butcher batting well - Graveney - Miller - Moores and Vaughan please note.
