I have to say that i am surprised at how pathetically Lancashire are capitulating,i thought they were a strong side who would fight for honours in all competitions,it appears i was wrong as they are almost out of this competition already after 3 defeats in 4 games.

In the other games rain has been a major factor but the Yorkshire v Leicestershire game looks like being a cracking finish with Leicestershire needing 61 off 9 overs with 6 wickets left.

No great pace - he looked pedestrian compared to Harmison.

Seems to have been a battle of the bowlers, and Durham had the better batsmen.

Took the words right out my mouth there Ern, Killeen, Onions et al looked snails pace, compared to England's XI bowlers Flintoff and Mahmood for Lancashire and Plunkett and Harmison for Durham.

Lancashire crumbled against 3 stand out bowlers from Durham - quickies Harmison and Plunkett and offspinner Breese. Breese took the "prized" wicket of a certain Andrew Flintoff, who hit one up in the air and Harmison took the catch on the boundary.

Plunkett played a blinder today, taking 2 wickets, hitting 33 and doing some excellent fielding.
Talking of excellent fielding, Collingwood ran out Chappell with a brilliant piece of fielding.

Fair enough, but any bowler in England would look pedestrian compared to Harmison!

I was surprised that Durham outbatted Lancs, because to me Durhams batting has always been its weak spot!

Durham's batting wasn't flawless today, in my opinion, Durham outbowled Lancashire, their bowling was tight, created pressure, especially with the Breese/Plunkett tandem and it made batsman play rash shots.

Some good fielding from Collingwood and Harmison helped Durham, with Flintoff being caught in the deep, and Loye dollying a long hop.

Just shows though that Harmi is 1-2 yards quicker than any other English bowler.

I have seen Plunkett clock 92 before and i suppose he will get quicker over the next couple of years, the same goes for Onions. Though in Plunketts case i'd rather he kept his accuracy because he does move the ball around a fair bit. How did Plunket bowl today, his figures looked decent?

I must persuade the wife to let me have Sky !

Yep, and for anyone who has ever watched him play, he has slowed down from his younger days.

Yes, I can remember him bowling high 80's when he was younger but i thought he bowled off a short run now.

I think he has been very unlucky in that he never got a proper go at international cricket. Many inferior player have been selected and got runs in the team but Chapple was always a nearly man.

Even though he's getting on a bit I would rather he went to the world cup than either Mahmood or Lewis.
