Durham vs Lancashire, Friends Provident Trophy

Durham 220-9 after 50 overs.

Collingwood 74, Coetzer 35, Plunkett 33.

Keedy, Flintoff, Anderson and Mahmood all took wickets...

In my opinion it was good to see Flintoff with a smile on his face especially when he was bowling at Steve Harmison, it's almost as if a lot of pressure has been lifted off him, being back at Lancashire. Plunkett is showing that he can bat pretty well including hitting hard to the boundary. Could he be an England no.8?

You can listen to this match and others on the BBC website.

Flintoff it would seem is back to some kind of form. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cric...nd/6631557.stm

Good news for England - Harmison bowing well, and bowling well into the 90's, has just got Chilon.

Cricket is going stupid - umpire gives Mal Loye not out, bowler goes over the umpires head to the third umpire, who backs the match umpire - point is bowlers showing dissent is now legal.

Cricket is being ruined.

Harmison bowling like a man possessed, no Plunkett yet for some reason, tense moment with the referral, it's a good match so far! Chilton fished a Harmison delivery and was caught behind by Mustard. Harmison hitting 94 mph. So far he's been the only bowler looking any good. Killeen and Onions are not quick enough on this pitch.

Plunkett on now, I thought there was an edge on one of his first deliveries, but Durham didn't appeal.

So much for Flintoff returning to form, only 11 today.Good to see Plunkett doing well.

As for picking Keedy, why when we have Monty already who is 7 or 8 years younger and a better bat?

IMO a better bowler than Monty, and is hardly ancient.

Does a spinner have to bat?, is Monty that good a bat?, Giles is a better bat than both, so by that logic when fit he will come back into the England side.

Looks like their are some decent bowlers on display: Harmison, Plunkett, Onions, Flintoff and Anderson as well as Mahmood, Cork, Chapple and Keedy.

Pleased to see Harmi fit and bowling well! Just glad he didnt injure Flintoff.

As I've said before a fit Harmison is the only bowler we cant replace, I just cant see any other bowler we have consistanly hitting 93-94mph, let alone the bounce....

Edit: SS what kind of pace was Onions bowling at today??
