| Michael Di Venuto has shown Jimmy Maher how to pick up Mike Hussey's run-scoring mantle for Durham, carrying his bat again, this time for an unbeaten 204 as Durham made 407 batting first. Kyle Coetzer continued to impress, making 74, and Liam Plunkett chipped in with a breezy 35 as the other batsmen went cheaply. Kent are 26/0 after 6.5 overs overnight, shame they have Steve Harmison, Graham Onions and Liam Plunkett bowling at them (!), as well as Durham having Colly back to bowl and field, having not exactly collected much batting practise yesterday! |

| Zzz... didn't Kent bat slowly today. Key finally scored some runs, but only Walker (as usual) supplied any support. Plunkers got three wickets, while Harmison proved why Geraint Jones isn't international quality. In the meantime, Hampshire v Lancashire started today, but in just eighteen overs Lancashire subsided, losing four cheap wickets. Flintoff's already top scoring - usually a bad sign when he's on 15*!

| Yorkshire are well placed, just need the weather to hold off and we could be looking at another victory.Seems amazing after all the turmoil in the winter that they have turned it round so quickly. The best thing about Yorkshire is that they have 3 young Englishmen performing well in Sayers,Rashid and Bresnan, now i am not saying that all will go on to be stars for England but at least there seems to be more options around the country now than a few years ago. |

| Australia will find him impossible to replace! At least Freddie spent some time in the middle and scored some runs, thats the most important thing for England.

| Warne is the greatest proponent of his art that cricket has ever produced, he can no more be replaced than could Bradman. Of course Australia still have an all round strong team and will continue to win most things but they are that little bit more beatable now. |

| Please refer to my thread regarding Northants extraordinary declaration. The actions of Northants today would appear to me to have been in breach of the rules. Comments anyone? |
