We don't have any spinners though but we do have a few batsmen so Sales has been harshly overlooked, his time has probably gone now which is a shame as he deserved a chance quite a few years ago and others with lesser records have been chosen instead.

I still think he should be in the ODI side.

Well Sales (who I should point out is infact in my div 2 side of the season) amply demonstrates the folly of cricketers messing about and playing beach volley ball an activity that should only be left to proffesionals of the female variety . There's always a huge element of luck involved in getting selected for England (particlarly of the smaller counties although it's not as difficult as it once was) and that injury which effectively kept him out of the frame from 2001-2003 whilst he regained form and fitness was very badly timed. As it was the likes of McGrath and Smith got the nod instead and when Sales finally got himself back into contention the England batting lineup was in pretty decent order.

But he's still only 29 and Moores does (at the moment) seem to be more open minded to the county game so I wouldn't completely rule him out at least in a one day context. Would certainly be a good choice as captain of the A team this winter.
