RIP. Shackleton left a mark or two in cricketing history despite not being a regular in the England team of the 50s. He was recalled to play against Frank Worrell's West Indies in 1963 when both men were 39 years old. In the Lord's test, there was a comical 'race' between the two "old 'uns" when Worrell raced Shackleton to the stumps to successfully run him out.
