Well FF if I was feeling in a charitable frame of mind towards VVJ (which I'm not

) I would suggest that South Africa's decision to scrap the quota's is the reason for his dramatic U-turn. Be interesting to see if some of the other young South Africans (McLaran, Kieswetter e.t.c) keen to go down the England route will suddenly jump ship although one suspect they will have a tad more integrety and loyalty to clubs that are in a somewhat better state on and off the field.
If we are unable to sue the South African ******* for breach of contract then the price of VVJ's solitary one day game is yet another outstanding value for money piece of business from the powers that be at Edgebaston. Good job VVJ made his decision after the membership prices were announced otherwise we'd have probably suffered more than a 5 percent rise

.
(Though on the brightside VVJ's absence will at least allow 32 year old Michael Powell pride of place at the top of the order next season which can clearly only benefit the English game

)
