With you all the way Rich. We must look closely at our schedule before any Ashes series.

As your "father" has said many times "its the oldest and best battle in test cricket" (for poms and aussies anyway!!) so we must build up correctly. IMO we should reduce the tests we play at home before we go there but revert to the old style tours where we play at least 4 full matches against state sides. I know the argument about players being away from home but in this instance, its only once in 4 years for crying out loud, they will just have to get on with it!! Give them time off from mid August if necessary.

When we're at home then the previous winter tour should be finished before the new year.

Out of interest Richie

Are they all to knackered to participate in the upcoming Indian Premier League series ?

Or have some of the poor fatigued sleep deprived English cricketers like some of the Australian ones who usually complain about to much cricket.

Found like "Seamer" said in another thread, a previously untapped reserve of energy to play in the sub-continent 20/20 tournament, apparently paying players some big dollars/euros/pounds/rupees.
