Don't get me wrong Scott, having belief in yourself on the cricket field is definately needed, to take a chance for a risky six or four. But there's always a fine line between self-belief and having a massive ego. When the latter happens, form usually suffers as a degree of self belief that God has blessed you to never make a false shot sets in, and that sometimes happens with Pietersen.

Please lets not put Viv Richards and Kevin Pietersen in the same category...
Maybe...one day but he has got a very very long way to go...myself i won't be reserving the pedestal for him

anyone see KP's dropped catch? i rest my case. The most wasted talent in sport. he's an amateur in every important sense. His incredible talent with the bat is reduced to nothing for his 5 year old sense of catching a ball.

Even so, Pietersen's recent contributions with the bat have been pretty poor as well.
