Transfers

Can I make changes to my team during the season?

Yes! Transfers received before the first ball is bowled on any day will become effective the same day!

Transfers can be made by web or phone. You'll be given 30 transfers to use throughout the game and can make a maximum of four in any game week (Tuesday - Monday).

Up to 20 transfers will be allowed between 27th April and 23rd August 2004.
Up to 10 transfers will be allowed between 24th August and 25th September 2004.

If you are a new member and you missed the deadline for the game the only thing I can offer is to create an excel file with your players and to manually keep it up this way. I've started this this morning, and I'll let you know how it goes.
My technological exploits aren't good enough for other things, and I'll have to limit the number of players to something realistic as otherwise it'll get too difficult to manage.
If you want to play, let me know.I've included those on the board already. Please could you choose the players and post them here, and use the players from the Daily telegraph site, and I'll try to score using their system.

Each duck -30 (does not apply to players listed as bowlers)

Your captain will score double points (including minus points) at all times.
How do I pick a team?

Study the player list (http://www.fantasycricket.telegraph.co.uk/playlist.pdf) and choose 11 players. You must choose:

5 batsmen
1 wicket keeper
1 all-rounder
4 bowlers
The players have a rating and you are responsible for keeping the team below 60. If you cheat then no prizes.!!

A player can only be selected once in your team. You can choose as many players from one country as you like but the combined ratings of your players must be 60 or less.

You must nominate one player from each chosen eleven to be your captain, who will score double points.

Substitutions(30) in this version could happen, just think of poor little old me who has to try to keep this up! Perhaps you could send them by personal message and ask for a recipt?

I'll try to post a table from the excel file (fortnightly? until I find it impossible to continue!)
This way its free and you don't have to "dirty" your hands at the Telegraph if you don't feel able to.
However, only people in the telegraph competition can win telegraph prizes if eligable (I'm not as I live 'overseas') but i'll happily extend the world a team prizes( ten runs for taking part, 100 for winning,50 second,25 third and woodedn wicket last) if Admin agrees.
Otherwise, if you are a new member and you already entered the telegraph game before you joined the board and bfore the deadline you can enter the superleague if you like (code 8000034)

I'll only include scores starting from when you enter. Hence Dezz gets his score from yesterday.

If you like i can email you the excel file i'm using,and you keep your own team up. But tell me which excel version you use! I use Norton so it should be virus free.

I'll try to post updates every Monday from now on.

Received all my DT fantasy cricket stuff today. Noticed they haven't included the SL v SA series as contributing towards points in their 2004 fixture list. Have just contacted them and they will be including the series. Looks like I'm the only one to pick Heath Streak, oops!! No transfers till the 27th
