Anderson can't lose you any points on the bench, the way some of the bowlers have gone it might be a good tactic.

You're earlier on here than I'd thought you'd be NE. I bet you've spent most of the day playing and replaying Jones's school boy error of letting 4 byes go through his gloves !

How pathetic that was! A club keeper would have stopped it.

I've been told he also dropped a catch. Was it Gibbs or Kemp? He really could do with going back to Kent and learning how to keep properly, evenb Boucher doesn't make those errors.

I watched the game and didnt see the dropped catch, i must have been sticking pins in my Chris Read Voodoo Doll at the time, but must admit the byes were a large blunder. He made up for it with his Read like stumping though

I wasn't sure if Hall hadn't started to run for the byes! I think he assumed Jones would miss the ball! After fumbling it he did well to regain composure and take the bails off. Don't think Pollock was too impressed with the whole thing judging by the way he just leant on his bat at the non-striker's end!!

Why, on the last ball of the day with one run required, was Pollock not half way down the pitch?

If that had been the case I would hope Ali would have had the good sense to run him out !

Point taken, RBLC - and obviously I didn't see it - but "leaning on his bat"? Surely not. Bat gently brushing the crease at fully extended arm's length with Pollock trying to gain a yard and a half's head start and failing: that I could understand. But he surely wasn't still behind the starting line when his partner fell, was he? In those circs, you either get the run or one of you is out. Non-striker can't loaf around waiting to see where the ball goes.

Change to Nel if I can please.from Anderson.

Not that Lancastrian when he does not play., mind you none of the other change bowlers are any better, Wharf, did not "Clingon"to his place, and Kabir is expensive.

Richard I have put Pieterson as my all=rounder if that is OK, I had kallis there, and that was not allowed really, Bell has gone.
