| Zim vs. RSA Fantasy Contest Hi guys, I'm gonna run a Jenko-like fantasy contest and seeing as i haven't asked Richard, he reserves the right for wishing for it to be closed down if he likes because he is, after all, the owner. Rules Rules You can choose any 11 players from the squad list as long as you choose 5 batsmen 1 All rounder 1 keeper 4 bowlers No substitutions (School is getting serious at the moment!!) Rules Scores like this Appearance +1 Fielding: Each catch taken +5 Each stumping +20 Bowling: Each wicket taken +30 Each 5 runs conceded -1 Batting: Each run scored +1 Each duck -30 (does not apply to players listed as bowlers) Your captain will score double points (including minus points) at all times. I run the scores on an Excel spreadsheet on my computer so if you want a copy, let me know. How do I pick a team? Study the player list below and choose 11 players. You must choose: 5 batsmen 1 wicket keeper 1 all-rounder 4 bowlers A player can only be selected once in your team. You can choose as many players from one country as you like. You must nominate one player from each chosen eleven to be your captain, who will score double points. Rules.

| Thanks Bevo, however we will have to wait on Saffer squad. I am not fussed if you choose Matsikenyeri as a batsman--I just state you can name him as the all rounder. |

| Looks as if it may be cancelled due to lack of interest. For this to be feasable i think a minimum of 6 entries will do. |

| Zimbabwe tour of South Africa 2004-05 Kallis to be rested for Zimbabwe ODIs Cricinfo staff February 18, 2005 ![]() Jacques Kallis will miss the three ODIs against Zimbabwe © Getty Images Jacques Kallis will be rested for the three one-day internationals against Zimbabwe, which start on February 25 at Johannesburg. Kallis, who had a decent one-day series against England, scoring 227 runs at 32, is likely to be replaced by Boeta Dippenaar. With the recent completion of the long and tiring England series, Shaun Pollock and Makhaya Ntini are the other players who have opted out of the entire Zimbabwe series, in order to be fresh for the vital tour of the Caribbean next month. Haroon Lorgat, the convener of selectors, told news24.com: "I spoke to the four senior players – captain Graeme Smith, Kallis, Shaun Pollock and Makhaya Ntini. I asked them if they wanted to be given a rest period for the entire tour or if they wanted to play in some matches. A decision was taken to rest Kallis in the one-day series, but he will play in the Tests. The others will play in some of the matches." The 14-man one-day squad is expected to be announced today. The absence of Pollock and Ntini has opened the doors for Charl Langeveldt and Monde Zondeki. Langeveldt, who bowled a matchwinning spell at Cape Town, has fully recovered from the hand injury that kept him out of the rest of the series against England. South Africa are also scheduled to play two Tests against Zimbabwe. Those wanting Ntini or Pollock in their squad can change. Bevo you can. You'll have to take a risk on Kallis if you wanna pick him cos he'll have to perform in Tests |
