Testers needed

The custom fantasy game that is being developed for our site is almost finished but I need at least 4 volunteers to test the game. A game will only remain active once it's created if 5 people register their team before the cut-off date and time.

I have created a game called Australia v New Zealand 2004-5 and have registered my own team so I need at least 4 other teams as a member can't register more than one team. If you're interested, please register at http://world-a-team.com/aj/fantasy_cricket.php first and when your registration is complete go ahead and register your team. The cut-off date and time is March 19 @ 3:22 PM GMT.

The players involved are: (Richardson's name is not included because he has retired.)

Batsmen:
Nathan Astle
Stephen Fleming
Matthew Hayden
Justin Langer
Darren Lehmann
Hamish Marshall
Damien Martyn
Ricky Ponting
Mathew Sinclair
Scott Styris

Wicketkeeper:
Adam Gilchrist
Brendon McCullum

All-rounder:
Michael Clarke
Craig McMillan
Jacob Oram

Bowler:
Brett Lee
Chris Martin
Daniel Vettori
Glenn McGrath
Ian Butler
James Franklin
Jason Gillespie
Kyle Mills
Michael Kasprowicz
Paul Wiseman
Shane Warne

Selections will be available by dropdown lists. All fields must be filled. The wicketkeeper position has only two candidates, therefore, only one reserve is possible. However, the system requires you to select two reserve wicketkeepers, therefore, your reserve must be selected twice otherwise the system won't allow you to submit your team. You are also required to select a captain to receive double points and 4 other players to receive bonus points. The scoring is explained in this post.

Please don't reveal your team to anybody before the cut-off date. After the cut-off date no further teams can be submitted. Please post your questions here if you have any problems. Suggestions are also welcome.

Scoring...

Make sure you enter the actual # of wickets, runs, etc rather than the point translation. That is too much work for you guys, the script (once finished, I'm probably 70% done now), will do this automatically.

Anyway, I'm not familiar with all the correct terminology, so if you see any errors, let me know on the testing board. I just finished the report game thing (massive section) so next I am going to set up converting the # of runs, into a score value, and all the point stuff that makes it fun.

SirAdrian, as the game Creator, I have to wait until after the cut-off date and time before I can enter the results into the match report for each match - is that correct? If so, I have to wait until after 3.22 PM GMT tomorrow before I can enter the results.

I have registered a team, but to be honest I dont know what to do with it, any help from anyone will be nice.
Also I registered as Ernest with my password for this site, but this created a cookie problem, I could not get back on this site, so what I had to do was, delete my cookies in internet option, then log on again.

Once I fill out the Match Report the results get converted to points and your current points tally will show beside your name. You must click the game name (Australia v New Zealand 2004-5) to see the names of the other Managers and their current points. I'm not sure if SirAdrian is intending to have a points breakdown of each Manager's team on a match-by-match basis?

I've written down a copy of my team, I can remember my cptain but not all my replacements and bonus players. I dont want to change anything but I wondered if this was an error on my part for testing purposes ??

I thought the game would allow people to edit their team right up till the cut-off time but that doesn't appear to be the case at the moment. As you say, we can't see what team we have registered. The creator also needs to see everyone's teams after the cut-off so he can edit them to use the reserves, if necessary, to ensure each manager has eleven players in each match.

Yes, same thing happens to me. Must be a cookie conflict. When logged in to this forum and the FC sub-forum at the same time I get logged out of one or the other after a few minutes. Not anything we can do about that.

No matter, it only takes a minute to clear the cookies anyway.
