And when Peter Allis (don't know how to spell the surname!) starts going on about 'jolly old James Pickle who hasn't been well lately' as if we all know the bloke, when we don't!

I heard that people get ejected from Augusta if their phone goes off. I'd eject anyone who shouts 'Ged in the hole!'. They even shouted it when Monty missed by about 15 yeards at the 17th.

Is it me, or does Colin Montgomery appear to be timeless? He has always looked the same age to me. He must have about 70 more Open Championships in him!

He's on TV now admitting he's bottled it today! Tiger was just too good!

If they did that in America, there would be no spectators left

Tiger's ace isn't he? He's now won 10 Majors and he is only 29, that is amazing! He's easily going to pass 20 Majors I think and be the greatest player ever.

He is blatently the biggest sportsman in the world. Beckham, Schumacher and co. don't even come close!

I do admire him, he really is an all-time great. But he isn't terribly loveable, though. Still, I guess that's what makes him the champion he is...

I don't know. I think he is maybe a quiet guy, but he does get quite excited sometimes and shows his emotions. I thought generally people like him. I do!

Do you remember the Ryder Cup a few years back when it was in America and the crowd (and US players) were running around like they'd won the damn thing when Jose Maria had a putt to earn a draw for Europe? That was disgracful. IMO, most US golf fans seem to be eejits.

The players' behaviour was the more disgraceful on that occasion. They at least should have known better. My memory tells me only Payne Stewart refrained rfom celebrating. He was killed shortly afterwards - a sad loss as he was both a colouful and dignified character at the same time.
