Volunteers needed

We need more volunteers with a minimum of 50 posts to host some upcoming series. Coming up is a Tri-nations one-day competition with Zimbabwe, New Zealand and India followed by a Test series between Zimbabwe and India. Also coming up is a one-day and Test series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Does it take much work? If it's not a big drain I might host any one-dayers between England and Pakistan this winter.

Not much work involved. Let me know when the squads are announced on CricInfo and I'll make sure all the players are in the database. It's up to you to decide which of four categories to place the players: batsman, bowler, wicketkeeper and all-rounder. After the first match is played you can score it using the scorecard from cricinfo.com. Runs, wickets, runs conceded by the bowler, catches, stumpings, ducks and runouts are entered into the match report and will be converted to points and applied to the Managers teams.

Captain, follow this link to my test site and register. Once you are registered you can practice creating and scoring a test game. If you have any further questions post them here.

Once the squads are announced click our Players List and check that all the players are in the list. If you need some players added then PM me with the names and I'll add them. Once all the players are listed you can click Create Game and tick the category next to the players name that you wish them to appear to the Managers in the dropdown menus when they create their teams. You'll also have to enter the cut-off in days when Managers can no longer enter a team. If you need to extend the cut-off later by a few hours you can do that by clicking Extend which you'll find on the page where the Managers are listed.

After the game is created it would be a sensible idea to start a thread in this forum to announce it to encourage people to register their team. The thread can also be used to post interim results. I prefer just the top ten rankings to be posted to keep the post to a reasonable size.
