Thanks for the info Admin.

I accept FULL RESPONSIBILITY for the lack of skills shown in the current fanatsy game. I set it up after all. It's just a shame no one (no mods, admins or others) felt able to nudge me toward the foresaid game or to say 'this is the way to do it' despite the prior debate here http://www.world-a-team.com/showthread.php?t=8317 about the format of the fantasy game which I offered to do in good faith. What were you doing? Why didn't you take part in the debate. Failure to do so just weakens your case afterwards and frankly undermines your case and if you didn't like it , you should have said. Its like complaining that you dislike the government but discovering you didn't vote.

Basically its all well and good critising and pointing fingers. I hope it makes you feel good. But it could and should have been avoided. You say you had complaints about the download time? Why not a pm instead of public humiliation. Time and again I point out the lack of skills and time and again I then get put into difficult situations.

We learn from our mistakes guys. If we never made any, then it would be boring. If you're not learning, just what are you doing? I really wonder why I bother sometimes, really I do. I don't have a lot of time and I have a lot of talent. I hope I'm not wasting both in "enlightening" you lot on here.

The fantasy game needs to be benchmarked and the 'how to ' threads expanded and changed

Richard, I had limited access to the internet until a few days ago because I've relocated from the UK to Australia and was temporarily staying with friends. Now, I'm back in my own place with a broadband connection. I never saw that thread until now. Sorry. Had I seen it I would have supported Vrock's suggestion. Both Karthik and Collyisamackem supported Vrock's suggestion to just create a game for the Super 8 stage but you obviously ignored their advice. On that basis, I doubt my input would've mattered.

Richard, the only reason I replied to this thread is because you were giving the impression the Fantasy Cricket game was difficult and time-consuming in general. You said the game had "run it's course" and needed a "rethink". I just wanted to show how you made the game more difficult than was necessary to highlight the point to everyone that a game creator can make it as easy or difficult as they like. For example, a tournament can be broken into manageable groups of games with a different person creating a game for each group of matches. A minimum of 21 players is required to create a game. So, there's no need to include all players. Just pick enough players to ensure all managers have different teams. In my game, there were 32 managers so I needed to have double the minimum amount of players to ensure all managers had different teams. A team of scorers could score one or two matches each to speed up the laborious scoring process. I resent your accusations that I was trying to humiliate you. I think you felt humiliated by recognizing how much more difficult you made the game for yourself. As I don't want to bring the tone of this thread down any further I suggest any further comments about this matter should be discussed privately via PMs.

The loop

If you feel that commnication could be improved and you think that you'd like to be inluded in a weekly update of whats going on on the board (a briefing, not detailed) then why not join the loop. Everyone in the loop pm's three other members of the board. There are thus two types of loopers, those who send messages to three members and those who want to receve. Obvously the more senders or recievers (lets call them batsmen and bowlers!) there are, the better.I'd need to organise who sent what to who, but once the communican tree is in place it would be easy to update. Ideally I'd like to see a few names here please as a sender or a reciever. I hope this improves communication and makes people aware of 'what's going on'
We could share competition news, uppcoming match news and one thread or two of interest from each sub forum plus general ideas.

Thanks
Richard
