Fantasy Cricket

Good evening to you all. This all looks very flash and bit more high tech than the bbc site.

Does anyone know if and where there are any fantasy cricket competitions going on?

The Telegraph should be launching one soon. I reckon a mini-league would be a decent idea, whether it be through the DT or an online competition.

fantasy cricket

I asked admin this, and he thought it was a good idea, but understandably the priority was an instant messaging service.I guess we could include a link to the Telegraph. An imformal league contest based on members preferred team could be started, or a prediction game could be an idea, where you predict the results of one day or league games?

If anybody has any suggestions on hosted chat clients or hosted fantasy cricket games let me know. One of the problems of vBulletin or any website is the constant upgrading. Problem with upgrades is that they replace or overwrite all the current files which could disable add-ons like chat clients and fantasy cricket. Hosted add-ons are better because they usually only require minor code modifications which can be easily restored after an upgrade.

Being realy simplistic for a bit of fun we could all choose our 11 from the DT put them on a thread that is made sticky and then closed - we could then just comment on how teams are doing throughout the season - obviously no transfers in this system, but could get some interesting banter going.

That's a good idea, CJ D. Let's enter our teams in the Daily Telegraph fantasy game and post our teams in a sticky in the England forum titled 'Fantasy cricket teams'.
