England vs New Zealand (five ODIs)

I'm in the process of creating a fantasy game for the upcoming ODI series between England and the Black Caps.

It's five games starting in Wellington on Feb 9, followed by Hamilton (Feb 12), Auckland (Feb 15), Napier (Feb 20) and Christchurch (Feb 23).

New Zealand named their one day squad today for the first three matches: Daniel Vettori (captain), Brendon McCullum (vice-captain/ wicketkeeper), Jesse Ryder, Jamie How, Ross Taylor, Scott Styris, Peter Fulton, Jacob Oram, Kyle Mills, Paul Hitchcock, Chris Martin, Michael Mason, Jeetan Patel.

The England squad is: Paul Collingwood, captain, Tim Ambrose, James Anderson, Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Stuart Broad, Alastair Cook, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Phil Mustard, Kevin Pietersen, Owais Shah, Ryan Sidebottom, Graeme Swann, James Tredwell, Chris Tremlett, Luke Wright.
However I heard Collingwood has pulled out? I'll find out who has replaced him and get the teams up to date.

This should all be created within the following 24 hours.

Good luck to everyone, PM me if you have a query or just reply to this thread.

Thank's sd,

I'l pick a team when you have created the game - this will be my first game without Flintoff as captain, LOL big rethink for me.

There's a slight delay in getting the game started, thanks to all the new and newish caps in the squads we've got to create a few new players for selection.

Ironically there's actually not enough establishedp layers to start the game without these guys as I don't have enough batsman or wicketkeepers. But everything will be rectified shortly. There's still nine days before the first one dayer so plenty of time to pick your sides.

They are:

Batsman Jesse Ryder and Luke Wright
Wicket keepers Phil Mustard and Tim Ambrose
Bowler Paul Hitchcock
Allrounders Graeme Swann and James Tredwell

I've pm'd admin so that'll be done shortly, although I'm unsure if I've designated some of the English players correctly (as I'm not familiar with them) if you think any should be changed I'll try to accomodate that.

Sorry about the delay, players have been added.

Just be aware there are glitches in the program still.

Also Daniel Vettori twisted an ankle in training and is out of domestic cricket today and will probably miss the 20 20 games. I haven't heard a confirmed time he'll return but be aware he may miss the first ODI.

Stuff.co.nz has confirmed Vettori is likely to miss the first ODI.

All other players are fit at this point. Just remember I'm only subbing players for injury not if they don't get selected.

Or on the 'Fantasy Cricket' button on the right hand side of the 2nd row of the World-a-team navigation toolbar. Only 4 entrants so far, there should be a good number more than that!!

Game one has been scored, the leaderboard so far reads:
Code:

1. Notts Exile 321
2. greg 277
3. sittingduck 274
4. cantplaycantalk 235
5. Collyisamackem 227
6. Rachael 213
7. Andy Mellon 142
8. Ernest 128
edit: must say I'm pretty happy with my result given five of my players compbined to score six points in match one.

Table after match two, match three will hopefully be done tonight too.

Code:

1. Notts Exile 558
2. Andy Mellon 541
3. sittingduck 522
4. cantplaycantalk 469
5. greg 414
6. Rachael 346
7. Collyisamackem 314
8. Ernest 268
Notts hold his lead but Andys made a big surge of the back of Ryder's success at Hamilton.
