I'm not quite sure who I'm talking to, but if it's the person who set up the site, well done. Very nice. Only one suggestion. If you are replying to someone, it could do with a "tell me when someone replies to my posting" button. Otherwise, you have to go through everything to see if anyone's responding. At least, that's what I've found so far, although I'm new here and haven't quite worked it out yet.

Farmer G

I'm new here too. Migrated from the creaky Beeb site -- painful.

I've got a bit of experiences with some of these message/notice board, forum thingys. So if you haven't managed to hack your way through yet. it would appear that you can get an e-mail reply by scrolling down after you've written your message or reply, and choosing that option in the Thread Subscription/Notification Type box. I'll no doubt find out if that work or not after I've posted this, and if you reply to me!!

You can also go to 'User CP' at the upper left of the page>Edit Options> Message&Notification> Default Thread&Subscription Mode and there click on Instant email Notification

Thanks, Peter. I've done a detailed explanation in the Special Features thread. The topic name is E-mail Notification. Should help.

FG, click on my Username to see the drop-down menu and click 'View Public Profile'. Somewhere, near the bottom left corner you'll see my Real Name. I also post to the BBC forum as Michael Dengler and I also post here as Mike.

Zummerzet Zupporter

I'm new to this forum, but it has been recommended to me by a football forum I am a member of. Be prepared for an invasion of us now that the football is nearly over for another year and the cricket is upon us.

I am a Zummerzet supporter, and have been for about thirty years now, back to the glory days of Garner, Richards and Botham.

I see we got a creditable draw with Loughborough University today and look forward to another mediocre season. Nice to see Coxy got 172 and is in fine form already.

Welcome to the forum, CiderJar. Good to have people on the forum who's knowledge spans 30 years. Looking forward to some interesting posts from you. No doubt Andy Caddick's form will be of interest this summer to England fans so I hope you'll be a good source of info about him. It promises to be a great cricket season with England in good form up against West Indies and New Zealand. Everybody has high hopes that ENG can keep improving and be a serious challenge to the Aussies to reclaim the Ashes in 2005.
