Rename Say Something Series

I'm considering renaming the Say Something Series as many non-English guests may not understand the wordplay. Please suggest an alternative which will be understood by everyone.

How about World Cricket Series? or Current Cricket Matches?

"International match threads forum", would leave no one in any doubt as to what that forum is for.

I'm English, and you may recall my PM when the forum was initially named, Mike: the word-play got past me! "Current Matches" sounds all right to me. I wouldn't scrap it given the general support which your recent poll showed for the sanctuary rule, but I would suggest that thread starters for matches are always placed in this neutral forum (or moved by the mods if people accidentally start them in protected areas of the board). I think all the starters for the recent SA v England tests were in the England forum, which technically means that one group of supporters can be robust in their criticisms of one of the teams and others can't.

This idea may be more eye-catching:

South Africa v England ODI Series
Underway

New Zealand v Australia ODI Series
1st ODI: Feb 19

South Africa v Zimbabwe ODI Series
1st ODI: Feb 25

India v Pakistan Test Series
1st Test: March 4-8

Match & Series Archive

You have a temporary, separate forum for each series. After the series is over the threads are moved to the Match & Series Archive and the forum is renamed for the next forthcoming series. Example, when the South Africa v England ODI Series is over the threads are moved to the Match & Series Archive and the empty forum is renamed:
Women's World Cup
1st ODI: Mar 22

These series forums are ordered by date of first match.

Re-naming the Say Something series is a good idea . I don't like the idea of naming the forum according to the matches being played, it would mean that the forum name changes too often and would leave me bewildered.

Some ideas
What's on @ World-A-Team
Current Contests
Forthcoming Fights
Past Ponderings

However, the calender does list the matches forthcoming for the next 7 days, and perhaps current cricket contests could be outlined here.

It seems to me that 'say something series' was designed for people to start discussions on certain series without having to think about sanctuary, which is a good idea. However in practice a lot of the threads dissapear onto the forum pages of the respective countries; perhaps an 'official' England V SA (or whoever) Series thread is needed where updates, news, response and ideas could be discussed.

Alternatively you could widen the format of say something series , allowing thought on past matches or performances on the forum.

Thankyou for all the suggestions. I've renamed the SSS forum with something that everyone can identify with. Since this forum is our flagship forum it should contain all the match threads so I would ask that all new match threads be started there. As the flagship forum I'd like to see good quality discussion without petty squabbles and slanging matches which will turn potential members away.
