seem to have been closed, with the message of 'closed for now while the moderators review'. Is this part of the clamp down on the lower standard posting? If so would it be a good idea to clarify it in the post. People who want to see the site move forward will understand and those who don't - well who cares. It will just keep people updated about the running of the site. Also in the threads that are closed the is some decent debate amongst the lesser quality stuff, it seems a shame to end that?

Hi Steven, a thread is closed permanently or temporarily. In both cases the thread has reached an unacceptable poor standard. After review it will either remain closed and probably consigned to the England Secondary forum which is our dumping ground for poor threads or re-opened after the substandard posts have been removed. Anybody involved in lowering the standard of threads by slanging with opposition supporters or breaking the Sanctuary Rule will find themselves receiving a warning from a moderator that a re-occurrence will attract a probation ban.

Cheers for that, I appreciate the clarification. I am sure that what you have said is covered in the rules of the site? But as I'm sure you'll agree people will often not read them or maybe forget the detail included in there. Can I just suggest that when that happens in future, a note is made as to why it has been closed. This may act as an eye opener or reminder to thepeople who weren't directly involved?
