| Suggested rules These are some suggested rules. They aren't official rules yet, but I've posted this as an attempt to get your imput ; Do we need these rules at all? Can you think of others you'd like to add (or some to take away?) Just ideas/Benchmarking Suggested Forum rules We welcome you to participate in the World-A-Team Community, however as with all social circles there are a few rules you must abide by in order to maintain your active membership within these message boards. First off... Welcome! We are excited to see that you are showing interest in the great game of Cricket. We are in the process of growing a great community, and this will require your help! Please take a moment to get familiar with things... 1) Read The Rules - The rules can be found at the bottom of this thread. Keep in mind that we can change the rules at any time, but it will help you to stay registered longer and posting quality content. 2) Read The FAQ -. It is amazing how helpful it can be in reference to knowing how to post links, etc. 3) Flame Wars - No tolerance will be given for this sort of thing. Just keep in mind that you are arguing via text on a public message board... Is there really a clean cut winner? I suggest you keep that sort of thing on someone else's board or some instant messaging service. 4) Keep Posts On Topic - So many threads go way off track when people decide just to start chatting about nothing. If you want to have a chat session, get mIRC or AIM, or MSN. 5) Read Before Posting - Odds are that most threads have already been covered before you thought of it. Thus just check back a day or two to see if the topic your so curious about has already been played out. It saves your time, and our time, it works out great like that! 6) Monitor Your Posts - If you double posted... Delete your second post. If you forgot to add something to your original post... don't make a second post. Edit your first one. The edit button can easily be found in the lower right corner of your post. We would love if you started using it. We are trying to provide the highest quality Community experience for all of our members and following these guidelines is the best way to maintain a quality environment for all age groups. There is not a warning system for violators. If we find that you break any of these rules, your account will be disabled and your posting privileges will be removed. These rules are very basic and we hope that you read them fully. Thanks for your cooperation. RULES No Pornographic Material. Any sexually oriented imagery or links to such content will not be tolerated. No Warez or Illegal Software. This includes linking to software, posting about it, and suggesting to get it. No Attacks / Retaliation of any kind against a member, or group of members. If you are a long standing member, act like one. Lead by example and assist other newer members rather then attacking them. We look upon our veteran members to use this opportunity to teach the newer members the appropriate way to use these message boards. Posts in a particular forum need to stay on topic. If you want to talk about something that is drastically removed from the topic of a forum, please take it toPersonal messaqges. This was set up and designed for members to discuss issues not related to cricket. We discourage off topic subjects from the cricket forums. No Avatar & Custom Title Abuse. These are a luxury and abuse of them will result in them being lost. No spamming. Spamming is characterized by the initiation of threads or posts that contribute nothing to a forum, be it off topic or on topic. Examples include: empty bodies, bodies with few words that have no relation to the current thread or discussion and those posts that state they are spam, either to annoy or increase a member's post count. This determination is made by the forum Moderator or Administrator and is not up for discussion. Threads/posts blatantly advertising your website are not allowed and shall be removed. Continued abuse of this rule will result in the account being banned. Enjoy yourself. The board is intended to talk about cricket. Members & Guest Lounge was created to talk about games, life, and much more. You can have a great time posting and we look forward to your feedback. No Multiple Usernames. Each member creates their own unique username to suit their style, personality and this identifies them in the forum. Members should not create multiple usernames to voice or create a different identity. This can cause confusion, deceit and inconvenience to all members. If you’re caught doing this, the Administrator or Moderator can impose penalties such as temporary and permanent bans on the member’s account(s). No All Caps Don't post a whole reply/thread in all capital letters. This is shouting on the internet and isn't considered very polite. World -A-Team reserves the right to change or alter these rules at any time
