Aus off to a flyer with the run rate at about 5 in the first few overs. There is a very fast out feild.

| The pitch is an absolute belter. The bowlers can atmost try to work out the bouce. There is no lateral movement off the pitch, neither is there any swing. Harbhajan looked alright even the ninth over. Haha.. And I have to eat my words, as soon as I submitted the post, Hayden hit a six.

| second row of the top stand... He's looking very dangerous. At his best I would say.

| Harbhajan has just dismissed both openers in the space of 3 balls. This guy certainly ups his game against Australia. |

| Who said Kumble wasn't as effective as he was? Seven first innings wickets on the first day!!! Some going! And the Aussie tail crumbled, even worse than some of England's collapses. |

The engine-room failure was eclipsed by a lower-middle order / tail scorecard that read "0, 5, 3, 4, 5, 4, 2". An aging slow bowler (recently branded "past it") who doesn't get much turn on the ball took 7/48 off 17.3 overs as the Aussies capitulated inside 2 sessions.. and all 10 wickets fell for fewer than 100 runs: 136 without loss to 235. Is that rubbing hard enough or do you want more Last edited by Rachael : 14-10-2004 at 12:26 PM. |
