| 149/2 at drinks. Sehwag on 93. He's getting a bit edgy now. Lehmann has been given the ball. A good last hour for India.

| That's 233, Beny! Yesterday's collapse saw ten wickets go for 99. I'm not sure there's a comparison here just yet, is there? |

| Score is 282-6 at the moment. Ganguly and Laxmann have been a big let down to India so far this series. Aussies are still very much in this game if they can break this partnership. Patel is no mean bat though so him and kaif could still carve out a very useful lead. Fantastic game so far. |

| I think outcome of this match migth well be determined by how Aus's batsmen responds to the challenge of batting after conceeding a first innings deficit. I will be interesting to see their strategy tomorrow when they come out to bat. |

| I think if India get a lead of over a hundred on this pitch, they will have done a good job. I think Kumble and Harbhajan will be more than handful on a wearing pitch, with uneven bounce. It's going to be tough for any side batting. Btw, it's shameful performance by Ganguly. He really is out of form. He got two lives and still ended up scoring only nine runs. Pathetic. VVS has to get in the groove soon. He's being bolwed too much. Feet movement is something he has not been known for, but he has to do something to get going. His slump of form is really worrisome.

| The amazing thing about Laxman today was when he batted, he exposed all his three stumps, I don't think he usually does that, or does he? But I've seen him get knocked over like that a few times now. You're right about Ganguly though, looks desperately out of touch. |

| Ganguly This guy is becoming shame. 3-4 chances and still made 9 runs. Look at Sehwag how he exploited the chance that he got. I hope Kaif,Patel,Harbhajan and gang ad another 80 runs. A lead of less than 150 will not be very handy. Remeember last time when India played AUS ,they had to chase 150 in last inning and lost 8 wickets in the process. At the end Heroic of Harbhajan with bat won the match for India. If India has to make anything more than 200 on this wicket in 4th inning then they are doomed. Last edited by fair_&_balance : 15-10-2004 at 06:50 PM. |

| Laxman's footwork has always been problematic. When he's in touch everything gets covered by the silkiness of his play, but when out of form, these things look horrid. As for Ganguly, I do not know what to say. He and Yuvraj Singh look like the prime candidates for an axe in the next match, but since he's the captain, he will stay.
