Question Is anyone following the Ind-B'desh series with any interest?

I for one, am not. I feel this series is a waste of time. They should stop these kind of things. Add to it, there are three ODI's to follow. That really caps it off for me .

Btw, I would like to get your opinion about it. Do you people think it's worthwhile to follow such totally worthless series? Would it not be better off, if they cancel such contests and let the players compete in the domestic competitions. That way, atleast the young players would get to play alongside the good and great ones.

This series is a complete waste of time like all series involving either bangladesh and zimbabwe. It would take a lot of patience and free time to watch a match in which the outcome is known.Add to the fact that the series is being shown on espn star who have made a mockery of cricket broadcasting watching this series has become a real torture. The only people i presume bothered to wake up early every morning and watch the match must be the relatives of the contestants taking part in the dream job.The ICC must do something to prevent such lop sided contests which will ultimately ruin test cricket. It is because such one sided matches involving sub standard teams have been taking place that 20/20 has been invented which is a nightmare for all us test loving followers.

I agree there were loads of shots played by Indian batsmen. The run rate in all the three innings was decent, but when you know the outcome, is it still worth have bleady eyes the next morning? Sachin scored 248*, his highest score, but I bet he will be the first to agree he does not really rate this hundred.

Ashwini, I used to watch every match that I could come across. I was very interested in Mumbai's Ranjee trophy matches as well.

But, when you watch cricket at international level, one has certain expectations. B'desh has been a real downer for so long now, that I feel I shouldn't spend time following their matches. I would still watch all the other matches expect the matches involving B'desh and the new Zimbabwe team.

Series against Bangladesh and Zim are a load of pants! With the ever increasing frequency of tests and ODI being played, there is always the worry of top player burn out. I think that sides should play at least 3/4 of their A-teams against these two sides to rest their stars.

It would be a great way to see the best of SS Paul, Karthik, Afridi, Mubarak, Cameron White, Pieterson, Bell, AB Villiers and all of these next generation superstars that we haven't seen enough of!

Well apparently Ganguly is thinking about giving a debut to SS Paul and is also planning to include the other non-top-11 players from the squad for the second test.

That's a good idea methinks. India should still win the match easily enough, but atleast there will be something to follow. It will be interesting to see how these young lads do at international level.
