Bangladesh Vs. India -- Second Test

It start in Chittgaon in a about an hour from now. Please post your views about the test and it's proceeding on this thread.

Indian squad remains unchanged. No one wants to miss out on the easy runs and/or wickets on offer to boost their averages. So, all the theories that were floating around on this particular message board are chucked off. We can expect yet another one sided test match.

There are a couple of milestones at stake for Sachin Tendulkar. One more century to become the only man to score 35 test centuries and about 160 runs to get to the bigger milestone of becoming only the fourth person in the history of test cricket to reach to 10000 test runs.

But overall, I expect this test to go along the lines of the previous one, with India winning by an innings and a fair bit.

Ahem... Sehwag has just gone back to the hut. Caught behind of Mortaza for 10. Good opprtunity for the batsmen to cash in though.

Gambhir is certainly playing a lot of shots. 10 fours in his fifty. The pitch looks to be flat and the bowling innocuous. We are in for a big batting party methinks.

Btw, as I type this, Dravid's s/r is above 50. One thing about strike rates. Though they are not very important in test cricket, on flat pitches like this ones, they do matter. If India wants to make sure they win the match, they better score fast and heavy. This will give their bowlers enough time to get the B'desh batsmen out twice.

Well, it's 256/1 as I prepare to hit bed. 133 and 111 are the individual scores of Gambhir and Dravid respectively. First test century for Gambhir. He certainly played an unfettered inning and Dravid later joined the party to score his 18th century.

Well Gambhir's performance will probably offer some temporary solace to the management on opening pair woes.

I get the feeling that he'll face a quality attack, make scores of 1 and 10, and be never seen again...
