All very good choiced those Imginarydiva. My personal favorite moment involving Inidan cricket for this year was the ball from Irfan Pathan that clean bowled Adam Gilchrist in the New Year's Test at Sydney. In many ways for me it signalled the arival of a young man that might be destined to do great things for his country. If Irfan takes 200 test wickets when he's done playing, we can all look back at that instance and say that was the moment it all started...And since I'm a Pakistani fan, I couldn't have possibly found any moment from those two home series (one-day and test one) memorable. This has to be my pick.

Very interesting topic, here we go then...

1) Laxmans freakish 281
2) Sehwags 300
3) Dravid and Laxman turning the Adelaide test
4) Irfan cleaning up Gilchrist (I agree with Zainub there)
5) India's Natwest final victory, hauling down 325
6) Sachin's world cup assault '96 and '03
7) Kapil Dev's huge ODI century batting at no.8 (I think) 180 odd he made..
8) Sehwag's flogging at Melbourne for 195
9) India's memorable victory at Notts (I think)
10) Winning the '83 World cup

I'm sorry to correct you here, but I think Imaginarydiva wanted to discuss memorable moments of the year 2004...you seem to have picked your memorable moments of Indian cricket over all. Some good selections there as well though.

I totally agree with this. That was a ball for which even great Wasim Akram would be proud. I couldnot beleive my eyes.
Not only that..the ball that got Waugh in the same match was also a beauty.

But I must say best moment of 2004 would be winning the Test Series in Pakistan. That was sweet.

Gee thanx for telling me that, but i already knew it.I just meant to say that irrespective of whether it was done intentionally or unintentionally it was done in pretty bad taste.Thats just MY opinion.

Oh!I also forgot to mention another unforgettable moment which i thoroughly enjoyed...Sami run out when on 49 in the test series against Pak.Sweet revenge it was after having seen Irfan going through the same agony.
