Good to see someone mention the tennis. I'm hoping for a Llyeton Hewitt victory.

Who can beat Federer

Leyton Hewitt is quite a player, but I don't think he will beat Federer. Hewitt will reach the round till he meets Fed. As a matter of fact, it looks quite unlikely that any player will beat Federer right now. He's enjoying such a spell of form and fortune, (to add to his undoubted class and grace), that it looks impossible for any player on the ATP circuit to even give him a scare.

He looks so composed and calm even when things are not going his way, he exudes such confidence, that the opposition is bound to get scared. It's not just the way he's playing, but the manner in which he behaves on the court, as if he knows he's the undisputed king, is something that unsettles the opponent.

Thankfully, I like him and he has been my favourite player for quite a while now.

Actually spent Thursday at the tennis on a ground pass, for those who don't know it allows one to visit all courts except Centre Court, although we got in later in the day.

It is quite cheap (around $20) and with the standard of tennis, guys like Henman, Coria, Nalbandian, Hewitt (who i managed to catch the last set of), Canas, Grosjean and Roddick.

But, Federer will walk in against anyone he plays. Fingers crossed over Hewitt and Molik, even though I believe women's tennis is boring.

Ok, Tim Henman is out of the Aussie open, and against a player, who has such a difficult name I can't even remember how to spell it, an Argentian ranked about 26th if I'm remembering correctly. You have to feel for his fans, must be frustrating that a player of his ability has never even reached a grand slam final (if I'm remembering correctly that is) let alone won it. Hewitt's never lost to him so I like him a lot.

Hewitt him self recovered after losing the 2nd set against Chela to take the match in four sets, though his over all performance was a bit pathcy. Looked a little vulnerable at his serve, and again didn't come into the net as often as he should have been. I'm an iternal opitmist though I keep telling me self all the time Federer is not invincible. Hewitt had a very good career record against him before he rose to number 1 (but then, so did a lot of other guys did....!) I think right now Hewitt has to play Nadal in the next round and he's one very talented bloke (I loved it when he beat Roddick in the Davis Cup) and he'll take some beating, so I'm sure Llyeton's camp is concentrating on that now, and take it one game at a time from there. This is Hewitt's best showing at the Aussie open.

Marat Safin, is a talented player too, in good form of late, but over all he has under achieved in his career so far. And boy, is he tall or what! One person I totally dislike is Andy Roddick - I hate all the talk about him serving at this and that much speed. I think his tennis is too one dimensional and he relies too much on his serves, you don't win grand slams like that. In tennis, he is my eqaul of Arsenal, I love to hate him. I'm very annoyed at the fact that Hewitt should be 3rd seed and he should be 2nd when clearly (in my humble opinion at least) Hewitt has been in much better form.

I think he is getting older actually. As far as I'm concerned, his game suites best for grass court and during his time, he had to contend with one certain Mr. Sampras. Not an inviting opposition, especially on the courts at SW19. I don't think he was ever good enough to beat the likes of the top guys and hence he never did it. He is like Gramae Hick; wonderful on his day, but the day hardly ever came.

Hewitt's form has been good recently. But don't forget Roddick was ATP ranked 1 at the end of '03 season. He did quite well in '04 as well. He lost in the finals on Wimbledon to Federer. I think he won a few tournaments as well. So his place as number 2 is quite well earned.

I'm not a fan of Roddick either, he'll never be able to match the likes of Federer.

Roddick is an A-hole rather than an A-Rod. Henman is frustrating. Didnt lose to an Argentine, rather Davydenko of Russia.

See, told you his name was so difficult it even made me forgot which country he was from, thanks for correcting the error though
