Pick your Indian Team for the Pakistani Series!

Guys
Pick your Indian Team for the Pakistani series comming up!
Mine is (also with batting order)
Saurav (c)
Sachin
Dravid (wc)
Kaif
Yuvraj
Dhoni (wk)
Sehwag (he is down the order so that he can hit and increase the run rate just like Shaheed Afridi)
Irfan Pathan
Zaheer khan
Harbhajan
Balaji

my team

my team , the best indian team
Sehwag
Ghambir / Yuvraj
Ganguly
Dravid
Tendulkar
VVS Laxman
Karthik (wk)
Irfan Pathan
Zaheer khan
Harbhajan
Kumble
---------------------------------
Mohammad Kaif

number 3,4,5,6 should be the most experienced players and they are there , the only odd player out is ghambir because the others are experienced campaigners , including Zaheer and Pathan , that is the best team india could put on the field , maybe open with Yuvraj would hurt the opening department but it would kill the middle orders lust

For me, this is the best team India has to offer.

Sehwag
Ganguly
Dravid
Tendulkar
Kaif
Laxman
Karthik
Pathan
Zaheer
Kumble
Harbhajan

12th Man - Murali Karthik

Gambhir is left out as I get the feeling he will struggle in a big occasion like this. Ganguly at no.1 is an experiment, but I don't have the heart to leave out Kaif, who has batted superbly of late.

I don't understand the reason behind taking Kumble!
We already have Sachin, Sehwag and Harbhajan who can bowl consistently well. Kaif along with Yuvraj can also bowl spin!
Then why take an extra player in the team if we can instead have good hitter like or Dinesh Mongia
Kumble is just not the right player as far as the balance and ODIs are concerned!
We should only take him in Test Matches!

The above line-up was for test matches, yes despite the strangeness of Ganguly opening.

ok

vvv's team is alright , i would definetely like to see vvs laxman play , he has been dropped lately and should retain his spot why not , and i would like to see ghambir or Yuvraj in instead of kaif

Congratulions moderator vvv.

Anyhow, my test side is:

1. Aakash Chopra
2. Virender Sehwag
3. Rahul Dravid
4. Sachin Tendulkar
5. VVS Laxman
6. Sourav Ganguly
7. KKD Karthik
8. Anil Kumble
9. Irfan Pathan
10. Zaheer Khan
11. Harbajhan Singh

My odi team is:

1. Ganguly
2. Sehwag
3. Yuvraj
4. Tendulkar
5. Dravid
6. Kaif
7. Karthik
8. Harbhajan
9. Agarkar
10. Pathan
11. Khan

Not bad sides. Aakash needs to tie down one end and play with resillience that i personally dont mind. Agarkar gets a run in the ODI side as does Kaif and Yuvraj.

Whatever team India picks I just hope for their team's sake that they don't send Yuvarj Singh to open, especially not in tests, he just hasn't got the technique to face the new ball in my opinion. Had I been an Indian selector I
would probably give Akash Chopra another chance with Sehwag - I thought Chopra was unlucky to lose his place in the first place. Yes, I know he wans't quite making a lot of big scores, and getting out a lot of times in the 40s, but at least India were getting off to good starts, sooner or later, Chopra would have made a big score. He shouldn't been out of the side in my opinion.

But then again if Yuvraj does open, it will be an opportunity for Pakistan to make an early breakthrough, so I wouldn't mind too much if Chopra is left out

Is Balaji fit for this series? He had a very good series in Pakistan although I understand his form dipped afterwards.
