| I mentioned somewhere else that Ganguly's antics are probably doing more harm than his form. He was constantly hounded for his overwhelming ego and his princely ways, and nobody, even when he was batting adequately, thought much of his attitude. Now that he has lost some form, its all coming back to haunt him.

| Ganguly should be banned for life.He will not contribute any more to Indian cricket as a player. |

| Ganguly. When he is on fire, he is inspirational. When he isn't, he is a disgrace. At the moment, Sourav is a disgrace and if he was a normal player he wouldn't get a game...I think this signals the end of Ganguly's career, at least in the short form of the game Quote:

| I don't disagree with this ban at all. But it's made me think about Chris Board quite a lot, you know. That man doesn't believe in making a lot of friends it seems aparently Quote:

| Latest on the Ganguly Appeal Controversy from cricinfo: The ICC appeals commissioner Michael Beloff upheld the six-match ban on Sourav Ganguly, but Jagmohan Dalmiya, the former BCCI president, and current Cricket Association of Bengal president, has said that “the match is not over yet.” The Times of India quotes Dalmiya as saying that the Indian board was still considering its options. It appears that Dalmiya is hinting at taking the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, as there are no further appeals left within the ICC framework. Sourav Ganguly, for his part, seems to have accepted the decision. “I could only appeal. The ICC has turned it down. I accept the verdict,” he is quoted as saying. Ganguly’s appeal, received in the form of written submissions, was turned down by Beloff, who contended that, “Cricket is a game that is played in all kinds of climates. It cannot be right that the mere fact of the heat and humidity will excuse a failure to achieve the minimum over rate.” |

| Ganguly's ban I think was the right decision. In the earlier match he had already been fined his whole match fee and the very next match again slow over rate! What do you say about this guy.I think his ban will now give some younger players a chance to show what they have in store. It could might turn good for India and even Ganguly because he did need a break. |
