Cool Sehwag to Miss Second Test

.
Yes it is confirmed that Sehwag will miss the second test against Sri Lanka.... and Dravid is also doubtful for the test match which starts tomorrow... guyz who do u think will open with Gautam Gambhir... and the biggest question is who will Captain the side as both Captain and Vice Captain are doubtfull for the match....

Cricinfo report here says Dravid is "expected to play".

If he misses out too, it would be a big blow for India.

Big problems for India if Dravid is out as well.I guess Chappell would ask Tendulkar to be stand in because i can't see Ganguly being asked. As for opening that should be Ganguly as he is experienced and has opened in one day matches so he is a logical choice.

India without Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid will be a very weak side, i think India's possiblities of winning the test match against Sri Lanka is low. Dravid is the key for India on this tour because he normally anchors the innings and at the moment no other batsmen in the team is good enough to fill his shoes not even Tendulkar! Sehwag is also a very important member of the side and is one of India's most in-form batsmen.

Ganguly and Laxman both are the most likely possibilities to open the innings with Guatham Gambir but Laxman has not opened for 5 years and Ganguly has been in terrible form for 2 years.

The captaincy is most likely to go to Ganguly if Dravid is not present, which is a very bad news for the team which is trying to recover from the Ganguly saga. Tendulkar will be asked to captain the side but it is hgh unlikely he will accept it.

This is not looking good for India who will be aiming to beat Sri Lanka to get ahead of England in the ranking at no.2.

Yuvraj Singh will open with Gambhir. I dont think Ganguly will be willing to open as everyone knows about Ganguly and fast bowlers. Also, I think Chappell will ask Kumble to lead the side if Dravid doesnt play. Looks like Dravid will be fit to lead the team. Ganguly leading the side is also a possibility but I think Kumble will be the one in Dravid's absence.

Good to see that Irfan Pathan made a big score while opening. India now in a strong position with Sri Lanka 5/123 still needing 313 more with one day left.
