All this talk about Sachin Tendulkar being finished is having a big influence on the way i watching cricket. Sachin Tendulkar was diffinatly at his peak from 1996-2003, we saw great batting by him at that time and its fair to say we might not see that level of form from him again in his career.

But when i now see him, he play very differently and it seems he has even more responsibilty on his shoulders then he did in the 1990's, even though we have more batsmen now that are capable of winning a match, i think this is because poeple are expecting too much from him, they want to see the sachin of 'old', and im sorry to say i think it is not going to happen, i wish he proves me worng but at the moment i can't see him hitting another 180 odd runs from only 150 balls.

Even now with his less batting success i still want him to be in the Indian team, i want him to stay there forever because we will only know how much of an importance Sachin is when he is gone.

I would certainly hope Sachin is not finished. He used to be a great entertainer when he was at the crease in the late 90's, but i agree, these days people expect an awful lot of him. He also hasnt had the greatest run with injuries lately

He just needs to figure out his role and then he'll be as good as ever. India needs him for WC2007.

the only bad thing about cricket is when a player is in bad form or has been injured everyone wants him out of the team. Lara was a perfect example he made no runs during the whole series in australia and then went bezerk, he made a huge double ton and everyone just jumped on the band wagon once again. the same thing will happen with tendulkar.

Sachin has lived his entire life under so much pressure that he must be immune to it now. Dont think this media outcry, which is actually comming from a very small fraction of media, will have no effect on him and he will come back to his old form in grand style. Lets just gie him the time he needs after the injury.
