up...I agree. There is a huge population that hates Ganguly. The ones that made noise after his exclusion were mostly from Calcutta. If he does not perform well this time again, I dont think there will be too many Ganguly supporters left.

WoW

This just sounds very funny. One day he is a Indian legend and is in great form and now today he is hardly on the 18 man squad. I think Ganguly should just plain old FAIL on purpase. Hes done give young batsman chances hes old Jaffer, Gambir, Raina, Rao and other players to.

im not trying to make him look bad or anything its just the way he plays now, it's totally rubbish like some preformence vs Sri Lanka he played bad.

Again got to respect him if it wasn't for him we would at the bottom of the table.

Agreed. He has been a great batsman, his contribution to the Indian team is great and he deserves respect from every Indian cricket fan. But his current form is bad and the team has suffered because of his form.

Guys, Ganguly is and will always be considered an Indian great. He is probably one of the best ODI batsmen ever and is certainly the 2nd best ODI batsmen India have produced. Ganguly in his prime was absolutly amazing to watch, the glorious off side strokes would leave you with your hair standing on the back of your neck and the way he used to destroy the spinners was just breath taking.

But looking back in 10 years time I will remember more of Ganguly then just his batting. I will remember that his courage and willpower of taking a young talented but directionless team and transforming them into a world beating side! I will never forget this as he did it straught after the match fixing scandel whcih left the cricket in India in tatters, but this didn't stop Ganguly.

Many poeple say he is not a great captain and I must admit he is not as wise and tatical as Fleming of New Zealand but he is diffinatly the greatest of all Inidan captains!
