| Its not about how fast the bowlers bowl but how effective they are. I, for one, have always been surprised by Agarkar's inclusion in the Indian test team. He has not done anything worthy to justify his selection. On the other hand, you have Balaji who was simply dropped from the team for no reason. And then there is Ashish Nehra who is much better than Agarkar (though I feel that Nehra is injured). I think Pawar is ensuring that many Mumbai players are included in the team. Agarkar is not fit to be in the Indian test team. I cant think of any match winning performance by him except for the game at Adelaide. That was sometime back. I hope RP Singh gets to play in the next game, it doesnt matter even if he, too, is a left-arm bowler as Agarkar's variation isnt of much help to the Indian team. |

| in the pitches like this which are batting and no fast bowler is effective then a fast bowler with bouncers and fast yorkers can be effective thats why fast bowler is needed

| Its not a question of whether, its a question of how. Indian have failed to produce quick bowlers in spite of the MRF pace foundation. But the situation is better than what it was 10 years ago when Srinath used to be the only good pace bowler. Now we have Pathan, Balaji, Zaheer and Nehra- all are good and effective. |

| You guys watch out for VRV Singh, SS Paul and Gagandeep Singh! VRV and Gagandeep rely on pace a lot and are pretty effective too. But my man is SS Paul! He's reasonably quick and aggresive. You could say he's our Rana Naved-Ul Hassan! Its high time he's brought into the team. Being from Bengal could be a disadvantage for him now! Avishkar Salvi is slowly getting back into the groove while Munaf Patel is a star for Maharashtra now. He took wickets and made runs against all opponents. With this much competition I'm sure the level of fast bowling will only get better!
