I have to disagree with you, Laxman is not a good ODI player. India have good youngester coming through like Raina, Rao, Utthapa and Kaif who can play as well as Laxman and still field well, Laxman is very bad in the field.

My view also the same as you waseem
i always felt laxman could not fit in a ODI team
unless if he has extra option bowling 10 overs with abity to take wickets at the crucial time
or atleast good ground fielding and running between the wickets
he does not possess any of these which is must for a one day player(moreover he is also very inconsistent)
thats why i always advocated his exclusion from odi team
