World Cup is still 5 months away. Before that, let us see his performance in South Africa where he will be facing quality pace bowling on more bowler friendly conditions than India.

for your kind information mr django
the pitch conditions in saf will be better than india
if you would have watched serious saf cricket for last 2 years ,one thing you will find that is more and more flat wickets with short boundaries in saf(definitely won't be as hard as the one the score in mumbai or jaipur)
it was like a nightmare for the batsmen here in champions trophy because of more of a bowler friendly wicket made during ct
so saf could possible see some great batting performances from sachin or any batsmen for that matter

In the last 7 matches against the South African, Sachin has managed only 74 runs in total.......

Lets not forget Sachin wasn't making many runs before his World Cup assault in 2003. He is a good enough player to turn it all around with just one good innings.

He may score in the World Cup and I really hope he does score a handful. But that does not hide his dismal performance against the South Africans in South Africa.

Some Indian zealots have made a demigod out of that shorty who have mainly excelled in pitches tailormade for batsmen & scored runs when it hardly mattered for his team. Indians seriously lack a national icon & they have lionized Tendulkar. He should hang up his boots after the WC 2007, if he has a shade of common sense.
