Chappel was correct as per his books in suggesting ganguly to move out at that point of time.E-mail leaks and stuff...To what an extent was he invloved in having ganguly kicked out ..tahts a diff story.

Younger players like Raina didnt quite meet the expectations and hence was the need to revert back to experience.I have no complaints with Chappel. I always opined tat a foreign coach is the best answer to desi cricketing policies, lobbying, regionalism and selection. Someone like chappel is needed for team india.

As far as pathan goes...well yes...Very late did they realise that Pathan has ended up being none.

I've no strong views on the new coach... but the received wisdom at the time was that Sri Lanka had landed the more proven and self-evidently capable coach.

It's a measure of how well the two have performed that Rod Marsh now expects Moody to be headhunted as Aussie coach or England coach.. and has said nothing about his less revered compatriot!
