I have to disagree. These guys weren't all selected purely on form. If that was the case, this side would have had a slightly different look to it...

316/7. Not a bad score at the end of the day considering the top order's failure. I am sure it was Ganguly's batting that settled Pathan and Harbhajan. Very well played 111* by Pathan.

Be interesting to see when India declare. Get the RoSA side in and let the bowlers have a good run...and then try and get some more batting practice for the top order.

Absolutely, otherwise we would have seen Gautam Gambhir in the team.

Indians declared then on that overnight score of 316/7.

Already they have the RoSA in a spot of bother on 31/3. Zaheer seems to be keeping the form he had during the ODI's. He got Peterson and Duminy.

New ball does a little bit.

In this series so far, Indian bowling has performed quite well. It is the batting which is a problem.

Aye, with the new ball yes.

In this particular game, Sreesanth could have given Zaheer a little more support. He's going at over 6 an over, while ZK has only gone for less than 3, and taken 2 wickets.

Pathan has now replaced Sree, and conceded just 1 in his first over. ZK stil continues. One more wicket now, and the Indians can start their batting practice soon...A little bit of a tail for the RoSA side.

What a session for the Indian bowlers! What a collapse by the RoSA side...Like a house of cards they came a-tumbling down... 106/8 at lunch.

6 lbw's. And it could have been more. Just a couple more leg byes than they would have liked, I think, but a good performance still.

Now where is Jeff Dujon with his plumber jokes?...

138 all out. Dismal batting performance by the RoSA side...on the other hand, the Indians bowled very well, sharing the spoils amongst all 4, with Sreesanth getting 4 for 53.

Unfortunately for India, their second innings started off much the same as the first. Sehwag and Jaffer failing once again. (once too many I hear from some quarters)

31/2 at tea, Laxman and Tendulkar at the crease. Alfie Thomas got the 2 wickets.
