| Should Sachin Tendulkar retire from International Cricket? I think so. His downfall starts from beginning of this Century. He is not at all that Tendulkar we saw in 90s. Surprisingly no one has the dare to make comments about his batting faultiness. I think this is one of the major reason for his downfall. In all these years he struggled to play strokes on offside. I hardly saw a productive cover drive from him. Now he makes some silly excuses for his poor performance. I remember one famous proverb: “A bad workman blames his tools”. This is the story with Tendulkar. I think his presence may prove costlier for India in the next World Cup. I am damn sure he is not going to be dropped from the team for any reason. No one has the guts to do that( Last edited by davj : 28-01-2007 at 12:18 PM. |

| He's about 35 now and has been in form since he made a comeback 5 months back.He should continue for a bit more just like Lara is doing now.

| Perhaps he should try and concentrate only on tests. Or else he might break another record (he's currently 3rd on the list of most ducks in ODI's for India. Behind Javagal Srinath (19) and Anil Kumble (18) ?) |

| If Sehwag can be axed for poor performance then sure can Tendulkar be. I think it has more to do with the image and name he has branded over indian cricket rathen than his current performance. There is absolutely no doubt that Tendulkar has been one of the greatest in cricket but every peak has a valley, and every start has an end. After the world cup, I guess it will only be a matter of time for him. Matter of fact, a great era in cricket has come to an end after the exit of many great names this season.
