| Tamilnadu win All-India Twenty20 tournament
Tamilnadu won the first version of the all-India Twenty20 tournament by beating Punjab by 2 wickets in the final.
Punjab got off to a bold start putting on 43 for the first wicket in 6 overs.But from then on,the bowlers restricted them to only 134 for 8 in their 20 overs.
Tamilnadu were expected to get this easy total very quickly and so they did start their innings at 89-2 in 11 overs.But Goel triggered a batting collapse and nearly brought Punjab to victory but Mahesh decided to hod his nerve and TN scampered home with 2 wickets and 2 balls to spare.
