Kirsten, India's new coach

Gary Kirsten has been confirmed as the coach for team India for next two years. I believe it is a wrong move because Kirsten has no track record of coaching an international team. As Greg Chappell proved it, good batsmen do not necessarily make good coaches.

Greg Chappell started the process of destroying Indian talent, and now Kirsten will complete it...

As long as bcci is ruled by politicians and biased selectors(some selfish players also) our team does not require a foreigner to destroy it
and as far as gary kirsten is concerned,he has no attitude problem like our previous coach and also very much of a down to earth personality with good knowledge on modern game
i expect him to do better than greg chappel
I can't comment about our media though(which is always looking for gossips/creating sensational stories on cricketers/cricket in general, not to mention making greg chappel a bigger villain than he was of indian cricket)

What a time for him to take the reins - on the eve of an Australian tour.

Probably a good time in one sense - there will be no initial pressure on him as a tour to OZ is one that most touring teams are not expected to win.
