I cannot agree to that, although there does not seem to be any realistic way of curtailing "audience sledging" or even outright abuse. They have tried in football, but not very successfully because "supporters" are not always obvious. At the end of the day, players are also human and persistent taunting behind their backs can get on anyone's nerves and upset their concentration. It is very easy for a bystander to say that "players should not mind the viewers antics", but to actually be at the end of it is something else.

Isn't that what Reagon said?

Anyway why has this subject come up again? The horse has been flogged enough for now hasn't it?

I have read all his books.

He undermines himself with claims that are too fantastical for even the most opened minded of people, and with claims that can not be substantiated. Once you start saying the Queen of England is a reptile in disguise for example, you kinda start losing people.

That said, in the matters of the spiritual truth of who we are as human beings, and laying out what is in store for us all in the very near future, he is dead on the money IMO.

You can't slay a beast if you run from it or pretend it's not there. Or think you have slain it when you have not.

The more people from "different races" talk about the subject of racism and it's causes and effects, the sooner people will gain a true understanding of the matter. And the sooner people will see that the whole concept is stupid and false.

Perhaps even see that it is a scam used by people in positions of power over the centuries to manipulate and control us.

Once you get to that point, you can then more on to all the other completely useless and self-defeating "ism's" and slay them as well.

Even if just a few come to an understanding, it can have a ripple effect that multiplies it many times over.

But to do this, you need to talk about it.

well i dont seem to agree with what ur saying shaunx....its difficult sometimes to ignore when people make racist taunts...i mean i've been a victim of racism plenty of times while studying in US. its hard coz people make stupid comments insulting religion, culture and u wanna lash out but u know its stupid to even try to explain to these guys and ur better off ignoring them. i can just about understand how andrew symonds felt in india when people made those monkey gestures, i mean i dont even know if many people in india know he's of west indian descent and just thought he was a "baboon resembling" white guy. when things were made clear before the series as to what was acceptable and what wasn't... i hope bhajji's comment was misheard and misunderstood by the aussie players and irrespective of the outcome of that hearing on jan 29, i really hope harbhajan didn't make racist comments as he claims. well when it comes to the integrity of Mike Proctor, i think he's missed the bus when it comes to fair arbitration...to claim that the aussies wouldn't complain unless it was serious, is a load of crap to me. i think we also need clarity on whether sachin had heard bhajji or whether sachin went up after the altercation. i really do think the manager chetan chauhan is inept and flip-flopped on the whole issue by saying monkey is not an offensive word in india, the truth is if he said it along with sufficient proof he deserves to be punished otherwise he needs to be let off.

The issue of racism never gonna die
contrary to what we might wanna see/hear,racism is getting stronger everywhere in the world
its going to be there forever
and my worst fear is its getting rejuvenated(in various forms-Best example India-Caste Politics) in the last few years, and might become serious problem for the society itself in near future(not just in cricket)
