Two debutants then, should be interesting. What I like about Elliot playing (though I'm not convinced he deserves his spot) is he should bat below Vettori meaning he and McCullum get to bat at 6 and 7 and perhaps push their case for batting their permanently with Oram at 5.

Interesting to see Patel getting another chance over Gillespie too.

Looks like Collingwoods sprained his calf muscle or something. They're going to wait till the morning to see whether he can play or not.

And they have them!

Great start for England losing 2 in the first few overs. Again they are showing they are brittle at the top of the order and Strauss' terrible run continues.

England are in deep, deep trouble now!

Pieterson and Bell now both need tons (and big ones) if England are to avoid struggling (at the moment i cant even think of contemplating another series defeat).

If England do lose perhaps we should see wholesale changes in the batting, after Hoggy got dropped after one bad match
