One further thought. It appears that the Australian selectors could not resist Katich's remarkable season (regardless of a disappointing test career to date). The English obviously do not feel the same way with Ramprakash (who actually had two record breaking seasons).
I dont feel the same way as the selectors about Katich "Milo"

Why have they changed there selection policy ?

If we are going to be this generous giving lifelines to players who have previously failed at test level, why is this starting now with Katich, why didn't it happen with Michael Bevan, Matthew Elliott and Darren Lehman previously ?

The Australians selectors are still stuck firmly in the shadow and doing the bidding for the memory of Trevor Hohns.

But Elliott was given a remarkably strange test return a few years ago, after scoring 1000 runs in the Australian season. He failed and was consigned to the bin for good.
