It is, its good to see some competitive test cricket.

The aussies are 5 down now, so theres a lot of pressure on Symonds and Hodge.

Note to Peter Moores. If you have some pace in your attack even the best can struggle

Credit to Gayle, Sarwan, and their new coach for this new attitude.

Aussies still look like winning to me. For me they still a step ahead of the rest ( they used to be two steps ahead).
McGill will be interesting when he comes on.

How much is this test match a complete mirror of the Bridgetown test of 1999. Do the West Indies have someone to produce the Lara innings in the final dig?

Well I will be mystified Seamer, if Clarke comes back for the next test and Hayden is still out through injury. If Hodge gets bounced out of the side and Katich gets retained.

Fantastic performance by Symonds though, 79 on a pitch that has deteriorated badly.

I just saw the replay and I was pretty impressed by Jaggernaught. His figures don't make pretty reading, but I respect the fact that he kept throwing it up after getting hit for six, and he could have had Haddin. I hope that the Windies selectors give him a chance to build a regular place in the team, becuase a good spinner would be a real asset for the team, especially in the second innings.

Yes, I understand that the journos over there weren't too happy that a non-West Indian got chosen for the coaching role, but he's proved his worth so far- a win in South Africa, drawing the series against Sri Lanka, amd now giving Australia a run for their money. No more sipping rum on the beach after training for Gayle and Co., and it's showing too!

Lunch on day 5: West Indies require another 170 runs with 4 wickets remaining.

With no meaningful contribution from Sarwan and Chanderpaul one assumes this is now all over... but things will start looking interesting if Ramdin and Sammy can get through to tea

Edit: 55.5 Lee to Ramdin, OUT, Run out! MacGill is the unlikely man with the direct hit! low swinging full toss, Ramdin pushes towards mid-on and runs with the stroke. MacGilla moves in, stops, fires a side-arm throw and finds the sticks! Ramdin is short of the crease. Just when West Indies were getting some sort of momentum, Australia strike another blow.
D Ramdin run out 36 (61b 5x4 0x6) SR: 59.01
