Sehwag has notched up a brilliant double century...what a player!!! never looked in any trouble what so ever in what was a very responsible innings, 201 out of a score of 329!!!, wonder what wouldve happen had he got out early. Laxman decided to give it away again after he looked in good touch, kartik's batting shows how much we miss Dhoni at such crucial junctures. I think this match is over for the Indians after Srilanka have got off to a decent start despite losing an early wicket.

Wow Kartik is real disaster behind the stumps and neither can he bat, Dhoni where are you???!!!. He missed an easy stumping of Sangakarra which is going to prove costly. India can start thinking about the next test now, this game is done and dusted!!!

News Edit: Harbhajan gets two quick wickets!! Is the match going to turn in favour of the indians now??

We cant blame Karthik this time.....we got to blame Kumble for this. Karthik gave enough evidence of his form in the last match. Kumble still picked him again. Pay the price.

It was amazing how Sehwag refused to take a single when he was 199 because he didnt want to expose Ishant to Murali. A perfect team player. I dont think there are many batsmen who can refuse a single on 199 knowing fully well that the innings can end any moment.

Considering that the other option is Parthiv Patel, Kumble didn't have much of a choice. I'd sooner bring Nayan Mongia back out of retirement than Patel!

Harbhajan has now picked up 4 in quick succession. Srilanka on 195/5. Some hope for India.

what a cracker of a match this is turning out to be!!! the pitch has started to crumble a bit as well and is becoming difficult, i just fail to imagine what wouldve happened had we got to 400+. bhajji is turning the heat on!!! i hope we can manage atleast a 50-75 run lead

Havent seen any of this series but, how is Kumble bowling?

Stats wise, he has bowled 59 overs and taken 0 wickets.

Overall >>>> 59-8-178-0

His figures just about sum it up for you. His bowling has been pretty ordinary, he relies mostly on bounce which you dont get much of in Srilanka. Bhajji has started doing well as he spins the ball a lot and the pitch is assisting him. Also the Indian bowlers didn't get a chance to bowl after the pitch deteriorated last match which couldve assisted them. I think Kumble might be effective against the tail once India manage to get one early wicket tomm morn.

What a shame you couldn't catch telecast of the match, you missed a brilliant double century by Sehwag.

I do not see Indian batsmen succeeding against SL spinners in the second innings. SL should win this match comfortably.
